The mission to raise funds for cancer survivors continues!

Miles Run: 3,400.6    Funds Raised: $253,000.50

Dear Friends,

On Dec. 16th, I completed my 3400.6 mile run across the United States. As of this moment, our team has raised $253,000.50 for cancer survivors. If you would like to make a contribution to our efforts please click here. Along the way we worked diligently to raise awareness of the issues facing cancer survivors. Key to the effort was the High School Challenge. I am proud to say over 500 students joined me across the country and their efforts are responsible for over $30,000 of funds raised.

The past 3400 miles and 5½ months have been the greatest honor of my life. I simply do not have the words to describe the level of gratitude I have for this amazing opportunity. The fulfillment of the promise I made to run across America is only the beginning of our team's commitment to cancer survivors. Along the way, we garnered nearly 100 hous of HD interviews with cancer survivors which we are using to produce a documentary film about our experience and cancer survivorship.

 Through the run and the film, our team has learned so much about the intense need for excellent cancer survivorship care in our country - and the need is growing! To put it in perspective, when I b egan my run on July 1, 2006, there were an estimated 10 million American cancer survivors. Now, there are 11 million.
