Coast to Coast: A Run for Survivorship Announces
ASICS America Corporation Agrees to Become a Sponsor

Fairfield, CT – Challenge America Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce that ASICS America Corporation has agreed to become a sponsor of Coast to Coast: A Run for Survivorship. ASICS will be providing shoes and running apparel for Christian McEvoy as he runs 3500 miles across the United States this summer and fall to raise awareness and money for cancer survivors. Through the generosity of ASICS, McEvoy, a full-time faculty member at Fairfield Preparatory, will run every step of way across the country in his favorite shoes. He will cover most of the miles in the ASICS’ Gel Landreth, premier footwear designed for high mileage runners. He’ll switch to the Gel Trail Attack shoe to take advantage of its superior stability and traction when he is running off-road. In addition, Christian will be wearing ASICS ergonomically designed running wear throughout his run.

"I'm thrilled that I will be running in my favorite shoe!" McEvoy went on to state that "ASICS is recognized as the industry leader in design and innovation and I'm extremely lucky to be able to wear their shoes on my 3500 mile trek."

Cancer survivorship is the experience of living with, through, and beyond the diagnosis of cancer. The Adult Survivorship Clinic at the Yale Cancer Center, a beneficiary of the run, provides care and consultation to people who have been diagnosed and treated for cancer and focuses on the long-term effects of cancer, surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Yale Cancer Center Survivorship Clinic is a much needed facility both in Connecticut, where 50 people are diagnosed with cancer each day, and across the United States, which is home to 10 million cancer survivors.

Challenge America Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity. All donations to Challenge America Foundation's Coast to Coast: A Run for Survivorship are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
