Jeremy, a 2002 graduate of the University of Kansas with a double major
in History and English, built upon his high school and collegiate
swimming careers into a career working with young people. Jeremy has
coached swimming at numerous levels both as a head coach and an
assistant coach. He is currently the Head Age Group Swim Coach at the
Darien YMCA in Darien, CT and the Head Swim Coach at Roton Point Swim
and Racquet Club in Norwalk, CT. Jeremy coached Christian during
Christian's senior year at Fairfield University.
A competitive swimmer since the age of 10, Jeremy swam until the swim
program at the University of Kansas was cut during his sophomore year.
While the loss of swimming was tough, Jeremy took the opportunity to
pursue other interests. A recreational runner for years, he has become
more competitive and has currently finished four marathons and 13
half-marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 2005 in a PR 3:06:15.
His interest in distance running and friendship with others on the Coast to Coast Run Team make him a natural partner in this effort.
