Kristen, a May 2006 graduate of Fairfield University, is a professional documentary film maker. She is a talented cinematographer, director, and producer. Majoring in Communications and New Media Production, she developed a talent for integrating technology and art seamlessly. In fact, it earned her a membership in the Communication Honor Society-Lamda Pi Eta.
At Fairfield, serving as Executive Producer of The Fairfield University Television Station, Kristen developed a flair for artistic organization of media. Splitting her time between the television station and The Media Center, Kristen managed student productions from inception through post-production editing. She cites her trips to Los Angeles and the Tijuana border area to serve as a production assistant in a documentary production of La Posada as her most exciting film making experience.
During her final semester at Fairfield, Kristen interned at MTV Productions in New York City. She assisted during the post-production phase of documentary projects for VH-1, a subsidiary of MTV Productions. Further developing her production skills, Kristen also interned at KPI Productions in New York City. Kristen’s curiosity encouraged her to travel during her junior year at Fairfield when she studied abroad at Regent’s College in London.
Kristen’s passion for film, love of adventure travel, and desire to effect real change in the world using her talents makes her a wonderful addition to the Coast to Coast Run Team Road Crew. She is particularly excited about pushing creative bounds of technology to raise awareness of the event and funds for cancer survivors.
